Mumbai: A critical insurance scheme targeted for people with Type 2 Diabetes, named ‘Diabetes Care’ was unfurled on Saturday by ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.
Speaking at the inauguration of the joint initiative of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and Dr.Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre, Shikha Sharma, CEO and Managing Director, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, said, "With over 20 per cent of the world's diabetic individuals in India, there is an urgent need for a solution that encourages and incentives them to manage their condition better, and also offers them a financial cushion should they suffer from any related critical illnesses. These are the key requirements we have taken into account while developing Diabetes Care.''Diabetes Care can be availed for a period of five years for people from 25 to 60 years of age who have been suffering from adult diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance (IGT).
