Moms to be, beware of meth - It can hamper growth and development in your babies

The many pregnant methamphetamine users who inevitably convey the poisonous toxic meth chemicals to their unborn fetus , has crossed dangerous levels , reveals a novel Canadian Study.

Motherisk lab at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto conducted a study which examined hair samples of adults and young children to gauge their exposure to meth. There was conclusive evidence that the drug is conveyed from the expectant mother to the unborn child.

According to the observations of the study, the adverse reactions of exposure to meth for the unborn children through expectant mothers is unknown to many, but off late insights have shown that it can lay siege on growth and intellectual development of children who have been exposed to meth.
