See, men cause allergies in women after sex

An allergic reaction has been widely reported by women who complain of severe itching and redness of skin associated with burning in their groin and genitalia after sexual intercourse that has been now confirmed by doctors as a true case of allergy that is triggered of by proteins present in semen. Thankfully doctors have given the hope to such women that there is a way out for them according to the report made in LiveScience.

The allergic manifestations usually crop up within a matter of half an hour after intercourse usually in the women who are hypersensitive to the seminal fluid causing intense itching burning and swelling locally in the genitalia or elsewhere in the body and rarely are associated with a difficulty in breathing. At times symptoms manifest only a few hours later or even after a couple of days.

Although a very rare condition it is now reported and seen among women usually in their twenties and often passed of as inconsequential by more than 40% of young women who may remain discreet about the whole episode especially if it has occurred when on the run having some fun. They report about it only when the symptoms worsen as often is the case in such allergies on further instances.

The University of Cincinnati in a recent study concerning symptoms reported by over one thousand women who had voiced their doubts and concerns about the symptoms which developed after sexual intercourse discovered that 130 women actually were allergic to seminal fluid. It was also noted that women who have multiple sexual partners have an adverse reaction at times only with one particular partner while in certain other cases they have an allergic flare up be it Tom, Dick or Harry!

However doctors have come up with a therapy to curb this flare up for patients who are willing to come up for treatment which involves douching the vagina with diluted samples of semen every 20 minutes and gradually increasing the strength of the solution over the next few hours twice or thrice a week or by receiving allergy shots containing semen for many weeks until her immune system gets trained to sniff out that semen is no ‘black cat’ to be gunned down!
