Experimental drugs will now be made more easily available to critically ill patients. The Food and Drug Administration, U.S has made a proposition that will enable patients who are extremely ill to try out experimental drugs when they are left with no other options.

The FDA has announced that they will consider the prices that manufactures can fix for such drugs to be made available to needy individuals .They will also clarify the norms and conditions were such drugs may be prescribed. The proposed rule will enable patients, or patient groups to avail experimental drugs when no other adequate therapy is available to treat a particular disease condition. This proposal is designed to achieve certain objectives. This aims to help more patients to get unapproved medicines without compromising on the safety. The proposal also emphasizes that safe drugs that are scientifically proven will reach the market.
