Advice To Canada On Right Kind Of Food

by Jyothsna on Feb 7 2007 2:23 PM

Canadians are advised to follow a dietary regime which will include lots of green vegetables, less of saturated fats and the right amount of calcium. This type of food guide is the first of its kind in fifteen years.

Canada Food Guide has addressed this guide to all the Canadians. One cannot be very sure about Canadians following this advice seriously. Canada is the lead producer of beef in the world and the type of diet prescribed by the Food Guide may affect the sale of beef there.

According to food journalist Michael Pollan the need of the hour is the knowledge about the foods that need to be knocked off from our diet rather than the ones that need addition. He also feels that due to the poor soil quality, today’s population is forced to eat food which has a less nutrient value than a few years back. Hence one needs to be cautious while consuming organic and sustainable food.
