Thailand Government Officials Asked To Be Health Conscious
Diet and exercise have been prescribed for the officials of Thailand government. The country’s health minister Mongkol Na Songkhla directed his staff to be health conscious to inspire the rest of the nation.
In a conference promoting health, he said that obesity in Thailand is on the rise at an alarming rate which leads to diabetes and heart diseases. One out of every twenty one Thai is said to suffer from diabetes.

According to him Thais have been consuming carbohydrate and calorie rich food which are also of less nutrient value. He insisted that they should switch over to healthy diet full of vegetables and fruits.

Mr. Songkhla advised his female staff members to bring down their waist size to 32 inches while the male staff has been asked to trim down their waist to 35 inches. He also requested his staff members to lead a healthy life by eating the right kind of food and to exercise regularly and become a role model for the rest of the country.
